Steps to create an online exam

Step 1

Click on any "CREATE EXAM" button in the website
If you have already logged into app.sendexam.com, click on the "+ EXAM" button at the bottom.

Step 2

Add exam name, duration, shuffle on/off, and exam instruction.
Shuffle question will change the order of questions for each student. Exam instruction is optional. Press confirm after adding all details

Step 3

Click on "+ QUESTION" to add question to the exam. Select "Add your own question" or "Add question from bank"
Add your own question
  1. On clicking will open a blank question box where you can type the question and add image if needed
  2. Select question type(MCQ, True/False, Assertion and Reasoning, Number, Fill in the blanks, Subjective)
  3. Type/select the answer options and add image image if needed
  4. Choose the correct answer (Not applicable for subjective question type)
  5. Type the the explanation. Explanations are visible to students only in the result page
  6. Enter mark for the question. Enter wrong mark if mark has to be given for wrong answer, enter "-" along with number if negative has to be given
  7. Confirm once done. Click remove under each question to delete the question
Add question from bank
  1. On clicking will open the Question Bank page with option to select course, subject, topic, difficulty level and question type(MCQ, True/False, Assertion and Reasoning, Number, Fill in the blanks, Subjective). Subtopic filter is hidden(in mobile), unhide it using "+Subtopic"
  2. Click "SEARCH" to find questions from the bank. Click "CLEAR FILTER" button to clear the selected filters
  3. On clicking "SEARCH" questions will appear. Each question has topic, subtopic, difficulty level mentioned at the top and explanation at the bottom
  4. Click "+ ADD QUESTION" to add the question from the bank to the exam.
  5. Read the the explanation. Explanations are visible to students only in the result page. Click "- Remove", if needed
  6. Click on "SEE FILTER" to go to the top and change filter if another set of question has to be searched or added
  7. Click on "DONE" at the bottom to complete adding the questions to the exam and see the added questions

Step 4

Publish the exam publicly or to specific batch
Click "PUBLISH" to get the exam link. Turn on restrict access to student batches to make the exam link accessible only to selected batches. If you have not created a batch, you need to create the batch. Learn how to create a batch and invite students to batch.

Step 5

Share the link with students
Use the Share button on mobile to share the link with students through any other app like WhatsApp, Telegram, Gmail etc. You can also copy the link and paste it anywhere you want.
